Monolithic Power System MP4541 Buck Converter
The monolithic power system MP4541 buck converter features high efficiency with integrated power MOSFETs. Housed in a SOIC-8E package, this buck converter delivers 0.8A of output current (I OUT) in a buck topology with input supplies up to 80V. The MP4541 features constant-on-time (COT) control, which provides fast transient response and helps loop stabilization. The buck converter supports high-efficiency Pulse Skipping Mode (PSM) when operating at light loads. The MP4541 offers a configurable operating frequency that can be set between 100kHz and 1MHz via an external resistor. The MP4541 features internal soft-start and loop compensation, overcurrent protection (OCP), short circuit protection (SCP) with hiccup mode, and high-efficiency pulse skipping mode (PSM) at light load conditions. This buck converter provides applications such as high voltage battery packs, industrial power supplies, and printer power strips.
